Gowiwi Troop Composition TH9 - Clash Of Clan Attack Strategy.
In this attack strategy you will use the mighty GoWiWi attack strategy! This attack is great for pushing or for war attacks.

Characterization: The key of this attack strategy are the multitude of tanks represented by the golems and the Skeletons spawned by the witches.

The GoWiWi attack strategy is mainly used by high level players, however, it started to be used by smaller ones too. The name of this army comes from the 3 main troops which form this trio, the Golem, the Wizard and the Witch. Even if the army consists mainly on these three troops, it also has other troops in smaller numbers to help achieve the best results.

Things to consider!
- Never attack Th10s with both infernos set to multi-target! They will totally burn your troops so only attack them if you are really confident in your GoWiWi skills.

Army composition:

TH8:
TH8 can attack with GoWiWi if they get 2 witches in their CC, but those are usually not enough for a great attack. At this TH level, you aim for 3 stars and it is hard to achieve that with the 2 witches attack, therefore I will not provide any army composition for TH8.

- 2 golems (level 4)
- 3 witches (level 2)
- 6-8 Wall breakers (level 5)
- 4-6 archers (level 6)
- 19 wizards (level 5)
- 6 balloons (level 6)
- CC: 1 Golem (preferably level 5)
- 1 Jump Spell, 2 Rage Spells, 1 Healing Spell
TOTAL: 220 troops in camps + 30 troops in CC

- 3 golems (level 5)
- 4 witches (level 2)
- 6 Wall breakers (level 6)
- 8 archers (level 7)
- 18 wizards (level 6)
- 2 giants/hogs
- CC: 2 witches + 2 wizards + 3 archers
- 1 Jump Spell, 2 Rage Spells, 2 Freeze Spells
TOTAL: 240 troops in camps + 35 troops in CC

Let's attack!

1. The first thing you need to take care of when you attack with GoWiWi are the defender's Clan Castle troops. During a farming attack with GoWiWi there are less chances to find something dangerous or compromising for your attack; during a war attack there are all the chances to find a dragon or witches in the defender's clan castle, however, dealing with them prior to the main attack is not a MUST but sometimes can save an attack.

If you chose to drag the CC troops, then dealing with them in this attack strategy is much easier than in the GoWiPe attack. After you dragged the troops out of the base, you can deploy 1 archer, 2 witches 1/2 wizards and they will be more than enough to deal with the CC troops. If the defender has a dragon and you dragged it outside the base, then you will have to do the same as in the GoWiPe attack, to surround it with wizards.

CASE A: You are able to lure the CC troops using one or two Giants.

Having the possibility to check the radius you can set the points where you will drag the CC troops out of the defender's castle. In the example above, a simple giant can be deployed at the bottom of the base near the Archer Tower. Usually you will need 2 Giants to get the CC troops out.




CASE B: You are able to lure the CC troops, BUT using Hog Riders instead of Giants. Two or three Hogs should be enough.

Here you will use the same principle as in the case A, you will deploy your Hog Riders and then slowly using one archer at a time you will drag the troops in a corner. Depending if the on the case, you might need 2 or 3 hogs to drag all the troops out of the castle.






CASE C: You are UNABLE to lure the CC troops out of the base, so you will have the option to bring a Lightning Spell with you for them, but this is not a MUST in this attack as the skeletons can deal with the CC troops most of the times without the need of a Lightning Spell.

In this case you are unable to drag the troops out of the castle, not without using around 6 hog riders which will use too much of your army and might ruin the entire attack. In this situation, during a GoWiWi attack, you can skip the part of bringing any giants/hog riders and just go into the attack, since such bases usually hold wizards which are not such a trouble for the mass of skeletons.



2. After you finished with the CC troops (either dealing with them or ignoring them), it's time to deploy the army. In the GoWiWi attack strategy, you do this by deciding a line which you want to start your attack from. After you decided your line of attack, you will drop 1 golem in each end of the line and one golem in the middle of it, followed by a large line of wizards in behind and 2 Wall breakers for each Golem. After you did this, you will deploy all your witches, the cc troops, the heroes behind the golem in the middle!



3. Right now you should have your troops in the first compartment of the base. After your troops entered the in the first compartment of the base it is time for you to drop your Jump Spell to connect your troops to the central area where the Town Hall is. Unlike the GoWiPe attack, here you will wait a little more to drop your first rage spell.



4. Once you reached this step, you should already have your troops in the central compartment of the base. Now is the time to drop your first rage spell and your healing spell. If you followed all these steps, you should by the end of this step already have reached the second star of the attack! For Th10s, usually the attack stops here because the chances of 3 stars are very rare. The next step is for Th9s ONLY!

5. As a TH9, in the army compositions provided you should also have some balloons left to deploy. You will deploy these after all the air defences were destroyed. The Balloons will be deployed against the defences which are hiding far away from the central compartment and represent a danger for the 3 star attack. You need to watch the video provided at the next step to see exactly how this is done. (I chose not to include any image for this step because it is easier to understand by looking at an attack.



I will not explain the whole attack; if you want an explanation for all the steps, check the chapter before this. This video is for the only purpose of showing the need of balloons in the GoWiWi attacks and how they make the difference between a 2 star and a 3 star attack!

1. The first two balloons were deployed on the top right corner against the Wizard Tower. (Minute 01:14)
2. Another balloon is deployed against the cannon which is outside the base, on the left side. (Minute 01:21)
3. Two balloons are deployed against the two cannons which are 1 outside the base, and one inside, on the bottom side. (Minute 01:23)
4. The last balloon is deployed on the bottom-left side against the last cannon. (Minute 01:25)

Congratulations! You achieved TOTAL DAMAGE!
Note: There was no certainty that without the balloons, the attack would've still been a 3 star.

NOTE: As a th9 you should usually aim for 3 stars using this attack! As a th10, the chances of getting 3 stars are mostly impossible so your attack will stop about the time of 50-60% overall damage.

Effects of the new Dark Spell COC - Please don't burry this in the Sneak Peaks thread

So the recent sneak showed a dark spell. Here I am going to talk about the effects of the dark spell. Currently if we're going for a non lure we bring a lightning. Those are for troops that can be easily zapped as in low hp. If its a high HP troop, we bring either:

- Rage spell
- Heal Spell

Those are used to help our troops kill the CC troops. 

With the new addition of the Poison Spell we can now kill CC troops with low HP. Here of the effects:

- People will get around this new Poison Spell by putting higher HP troops in the clan castles
- Lightning Spells will be replaced with a Rage or a Heal to kill CC troops
- If there are low HP troops in the clan castle, we essentially get 1 more spell to use since we get to use the Poison Spell.

It's safe to assume that people peddling Gems for Clash of Clans are also frauds. The only way to get gems in Clash of Clans is to buy them with in-app purchases, or doing certain tasks in-game. If you attempt to buy gems from disreputable sellers, they will ask for your Apple Account or Game Center login information. They will then link your account to a stolen credit card or use other illegal means to purchase Gems for your account. These criminals acquire new accounts to abuse through online auctions, or they may decide to use your account for this purpose after you give them your login credentials.

TH9 War Base - Cyanide

TH9 War Base - Cyanide

Hey there clashers, sorry for the delay on this weeks post but my laptop just doesn't want to comply. Anyways today I bring you a base I saw one of my clan mates using so I thought I'd check it out. The base is called Cyanide and is designed to defend against the most frequently used war attacks. These including:
- GoWiPe
- GoWiWi
- GiWiPe
- GiWiWi
- Mass Hogs
- Giant Healer
- Baloonion
- Lavaloonion
- Dragoon
- Mass Dragon

Base (Note the purpose is to stop 2 star war wins):

Channeling of the base:

As some of you may or may not know, channeling is sort of like funneling except you don't leave any holes in the base. Channeling's main purpose is to get the attacker's troops to go around in circles, never touching the inside layer of the base.



This is how Cyanide effectively channels the troops around the whole base. Whichever way the attacker chooses to enter the base, they'll eventually run into the channel.

Pros:
- X-bows are centralized.
- Wiz towers are squared and spread out.
- Mortars are squared and spread out.
- Clan castle is sort of centralized.
- Archer Queen is inside walls.
- Barb King is inside walls.

Cons:
- Mortars could be possibly easily taken out since they're next to the first walls.

TH7 Farming base - Ring of Fire

What's up clashers and welcome to yet another epic base design. Today I bring you a TH7 farming base mainly used for protecting Dark Elixir.

Ring of Fire

Pros:
- Centralized Clan Castle.
- Centralized DE storage.
- Wiz towers cover storages.
- Mortars are triangulated.
- Barb King is inside walls.
- Barb King protects DE storage.

Cons:
- Top is vulnerable to wall breakers, meaning that the core can be taken down if enough units are driven through the gap.
- Gold storages are barchable.
- Vulnerable to Giant/healer composition.
- Hog-able.

That's it for now, no defense logs are available at the time but if any come up I'll upload them here. TH9 Farming Base

Hey there clashers as you may know in honor of the Ultimate Pi Day I'm doing multiple posts today. So for the third post today I'll be showing you a TH9 base that I have actually used before. It's mainly used for DE protection but works well for the rest of the resources.

Base:
Clash of Clans TH10 Farming Base 1
Designer unknown.

Pros:
- Clan Castle centralized.
- DE storage  centralized.
- X-bows centralized.
- Teslas centralized- which at high levels are very powerful.
- Loot is spread out.
- Air Defenses are squared and spread out for maximum protection.
- Wiz towers are squared and spread out.
- Mortars are squared and spread out.

Cons:
- Top left and top right loot can be easily taken when the first storage is taken out.

TH7 Farming base - The spiral sanctuary


Hey there clashers, since it's the Ultimate Pi Day I'll be doing three or four posts today, plus I forgot to do one yesterday for Friday the 13th - yeah I'm a huge math nerd. Anyways for the second post of the day I'll be posting a TH7 farming base. This base was made before the update that gave TH7's the DE drill.

The Spiral Sanctuary
Credit goes to Eldronyx of the CoC forums.

Pros:
- Centralized Clan Castle.
- Mortars are triangulated.
- Storages are spread out.
- Barb King is inside walls.
- DE storage is inside walls, which I don't often see in TH7's.

Cons:
- Elixir Storages are on the outer layer of walls.
- If attacked from the top left both storages could be taken out using barch or bam. Although as a TH7 you may not have to worry much about that.

TH8 Farming Base - The Golden Planet


Hey there clashers and happy Ultimate Pi Day! A while ago when I was still TH8 there was this one base I always saw people from the forums using, so today as I was searching through TH8 bases to post today I came across that base once again. This is a farming base mainly intended to protect all loot. Without further ado I give you:

The Golden Planet
I found it from Bourbon on the forums and he gave credit for making it to Adow from "Unity Champions" and credit for posting it on clashofclansbuilder to eliteplayer7.

Pros:
- Centralized Clan Castle.
- All storages easily protected and spread out.
- Wiz Towers triangulated.
- Air Defenses triangulated.
- Mortars squared.
- Barb King in the core.
- DE in the core.

Cons:
- Not symmetrical, although it depends on personal preference.
- It's hog-able, but so are most TH8 bases.

TH9 Farming Base - The Engineer

TH9 Farming Base - The Engineer

Hey clashers today I bring you an interesting base I found on the forums. It's called The Engineer and it mainly focuses on protecting Dark Elixir. This base is mainly used in masters but can be modified to be used at a lower level by switching the north and south air defenses with the mortars. I'll only be showing you the masters version today though.

Pros: 
-All the defense logs except for one barely give up DE if any.
- CC is centralized.- The DE storage, which is the main focus, is at the heart of this base.- X-bows and teslas along with the CC are all deep in the base to protect the DE.- Mortars, air defenses, and wiz towers are all squared sometimes with a wiz tower backing up the other defenses.- Wiz towers cover storages.


Cons:
- Heroes not centralized, although if you have good defenses that won't be much of a concern.
- Can't defend much of what isn't DE. So if this isn't what you're looking for I suggest looking at the Systemized Moat.
- Could have spread out storages a bit more.
- There's no double giant bombs, but that just goes with your personal preference.
- You could have the air defences a bit closer to the gold storages but then again that goes with personal preference.

February 2015 update finally here!!

February 2015 update finally here!!


Hey there clashers, as you all may know the latest update was released yesterday, with some interesting new features. Read all that's new below.


New features

Clan experience levels:
- Level up your clan by earning Clan XP in wars.
- Clan badges now have banners that show a clan's level.
- Clan levels grant perks, prestige and fancier badges and banners.

Gameplay balancing and new upgrades: 
- Cannon level 13.
- Healers no onger trigger air traps.
- Clan Castle troop deployment is no longer prevented by tapping on obstacles.

Clan Wars opt-in/opt-out 
- Clan leaders can now pick exactly who to take to every war.
- New profile setting shows your clan mates if you want to go to war.
- Choose big or small wars, but larger wars are worth more Ckan XP.

Clan perks
- Request troops more often and donate more troops at a time.
- Get refunds and automatic upgrades on donated troops.
- Increase your Clan War loot bonus and store more in your Clan Castle.
- Clan perks unlock automatically and improve as your clan levels up.

Clan badge editor
- Craft a clan badge with your choice of pattern, background, and border.
- Level up your clan to unlock special borders for your clan badge.

Three ways to get Clan XP in Clan Wars
- Get small amounts of aclan XP for defeating enemy war bases.
- Get larger amounts of Clan XP for accumulating enough stars during war.
- Get a huge Clan XP bonus for winning the war.

Sneak Peak #3 Clan War Opt In/Out February Update 2015


Clash of Clans just released the 3-rd sneak peak today. After two previous sneak peaks Custom Clan Badges and Cannon level 13 we have now the option to get or remove yourself from clan war. So if you aren't active for the week that you can Opt Out yourself and you won't be in the clan war.

This is a lifesaving feature because now you don't have to suffer or kick someone who is not active, they can just remove them self's from clan war and that's it.

Sneak Peak #2 Costum Clan Badges February 2015 Update


Sneak Peak #2 it's here, new clan badges. This is a very interesting sneak peak because with this you can customize your own clan logo or even upgrade and buy new logos. This looks like the sneak peak leaked from iTunes it's real, but we don't know for sure.

Another exclusive sneak peak info : Clan Castle troops can now be deployed even over decorations or obstacles.

Sneak Peak Cannon Level 13 February 2015 Update


It's officially confirmed that the update will come next week. First Sneak Peak was released from Clash of Clans fan page on Facebook. New level for Cannons, well this sounds like the February Leaked Update List which was leaked it's real ?

What's up clashers! Today I bring you two bases, one for TH9 and one for TH10. They are both the same base just the TH10 one keeps the concept while moving things around in order to fit the new TH10 things. Anyways here are the bases:

TH9


Pros:
-X-bows are centralized.
-Mortars are squared and centralized for most possible protection.
-Air defenses are also squared.
-Clan Castle is centralized as well as DE.
-Queen is in the center of the base.
-Loot is separated so if someone does get through your walls, they don't get much.
-Wiz towers are protected.

Cons:
-Barb King is on outside layer.
-Teslas could be more centralized, although it depends on your personal preference.

Now for the TH10:


Pros:
-Both heroes are centralized.
-X-bows are centralized and triangulated to allow for maximum protection while not putting them in immediate danger.
-Infernos are centralized.
-Mortars are squared.
-Air Defenses are squared.
-Once again loot is separated.

Cons:
-Teslas could be more centralized or at least be more protected, but then again it's up to your personal preference.
-Wiz towers are on outer layer of walls, although they are protected by traps.

Town Hall level 11 coming soon ???


Since the game release there were only 2 new Town Hall's added to the game. In the beginning there was only until Town Hall level 8, then in 27.11.2012 Town Hall level 9 was introduced and after a year in 27.05.2013 Town Hall level 10 was released. It if we analyze the dates we can see that it's been two years since the last Town Hall was released. Everyone is asking will there be a new Town Hall this year ?

Will SuperCell plan to release a new Town Hall ?

From some recent facts less than 10% of all players are Town Hall level 10, the the Town Hall level 11 it's more likely to be just imagination for players. To release a new Town Hall there should definitely release a new defense building or troop and that might take time. Although the loot penalty that Town Hall level 10 players are complaining is a big problem therefor Town Hall level 11 it's just a dream right now.
