Ultimate Balloonion Guide for Trophy Push

Introduction

Hey everyone, welcome to the Ultimate Balloonion Guide. This handy guide is used mostly for trophy pushing, and is not advised to use as a farming method. This guide is optimal for people with Town Hall 8 and at least 200 spaces in the army camps. You can also use this strategy if you're a Town Hall 7, but it'll be a bit harder. I will be writing this guide with the intention of it being read and used by TH8s and not TH7s.

You may be asking "What is Balloonion?" Balloonion is a combination of Balloons and Minions. It's a popular strategy that is used from Crystal all the way up to Champions. This strategy is an all air attack.

Troop Composition

Assuming you have both your dark barracks (as TH8). This is also assuming that you have all four of your regular army barracks to at least level 6. Training the combination of troops below takes about 30 minutes.

  • x60 Minions
  • x16 Balloons

These numbers can be changed depending on your strategy. Other possible combinations are x24 Balloons and x40 Minions. Another possible assortment is 20x Balloon and 50x Minions.

Balloons are the attackers in this combination, and minions are the supporters. If your minions are dying out to quickly, add more minions and lower the amount of balloons.

Spells

If I'm using the combination of troops that takes about half an hour to train, I'll be packing a healing spell as well. If I'm using the x24 balloons assortment I'll be bringing a rage spell. It's all about personal preference.

Healing Spell: Healing spells heal your troops. They affect both ground and air troops. Healing spells offer respite to the balloons when ganging up on a wizard. When using a healing spell, make sure you use it when your balloons reach 35-45% in health, and make sure to place the spell a little bit ahead of your troops so they can continue to heal if they head in that direction.

Rage Spell: Rage offers increase in damage to your troops as well as increase in speed. This does not help too much as balloons already to an incredible amount of DPS (damage per second). However, rage spells are usually used for speed in balloons. I'm sure you've noticed by now, that balloons are incredibly slow, it's what offsets their high DPS. The rage spell increases their speed and is very helpful when getting close to and taking out pesky air defenses as well as wizard towers. Rage spells can also be used on minions when they reach the core of the base. A group of minions can do a lot of damage when placed in the core and enhanced by a rage spell.

Attacking

This is the 'fun' part. The Balloonion strategy, like expressed earlier, is typically used for trophy pushing, so I'll be explaining how to attack in Crystal League as well as Gold.

CC: There is no real requirement for what you place here, but I recommend air troops or wizards. I usually have mine filled with balloons. Dragons will work as well.

Searching for a Base: In Crystal there are loads of TH9 and TH10 to deal with. There is also the occasional TH8. In Crystal, it is highly recommended to bring al three of your spells (2x rage 1x heal or 1x rage 2x heal), this ensures you can take out any and all TH8 bases. If it's a TH8 and you only have one spell, you can take it out, but it'll be difficult and it's likely you will receive at least one star. When attacking a TH9, try to find a base where they have one or two wizards towers down or where the wizard tower is level 5 or below. This is not a requirement, but it's advised to look for wizard towers that are close to the edge as they'll be easier to take out. All in all, look for vulnerable wizard towers.

Attacking the Base:

  1. Lure out the CC (if applicable). You have three minutes to attack the base, take your time to plan out a strategy. First drop two minions to distract the attention of air defenses, wizards, and archers. Drop a single balloon and have it drift towards the center of the base. If CC is not lured, repeat process until it is. Usually, this is not an issue. Once lured, drop a minion at the far corner of the base.  The CC troops will head towards to minion at the corner of the base. Spam a few more minions to take out the rest of the CC troops.
  2. Wizards are all about splash damage, so if there are two wizard towers close together, try to attack them. Especially if you have two heal spells. So what you want to do is drop one balloon to snag it's attention, then drop six more behind it. Drop a heal spell. The other wizard to the same thing. After they're down, drop some minions.
  3. If you have two rage spells and only one healing spell, do the opposite. Only go near one wizard tower, but apply the same strategy with spells and troops.
  4. Place your remaining balloons close to a defense that is distracted. At this point, if you still have minions, use them to follow up your balloons as added support and to collect the loot.
  5. If you have a Barbarian King, feel free to place him near the edges of the map if there are buildings in the corner as balloons are rather slow and may not get the 100% because of the time constraint.

How to Farm Dark Elixir As a TH7/8 - NOT ZAPPING

Introdution

Hey Clashers! Hope your having a good day! Cause I'm not! The loot is horrible at the moment! In 4 hours of boosting I've found 3 collector bases! SERIOUSLY? LIKE WHAT? That is absolutely horrible! So I decided to farm dark elixir instead. I'm a Town Hall 8 with 200 spaces in my army camps. The only things that are level 5 of mine in this strategy are my barbs and archers. Thus, making it so that you can attack with TH 7 too. Let's get into it. I'll be providing my personal logs at the end for proof!

Strategy:

  • 12 Giants
  • 12 Wall Breakers
  • 40 Barbarians
  • 76 Archers
  • Clan Castle (anything)
  • Barb King (helps a lot, but still possible without it)
I've been using this strategy at about 1350-1600 trophies. You want to attack bases that have 400+ dark elixir. This makes sure that you are making profit efficiently. You can 3 star some TH 7's, 1-2 star most TH 8's. I've not tested this strategy out on maxed TH 8's, just because I don't have the level 5 troops at the moment. With this strategy make sure that the dark elixir isn't behind 3 layers of wall, otherwise it's going to be hard to get it all. I usually attacked bases with the dark elixir storage behind 2 layers of walls. Now on to the execution of the strategy!

Execution:

1st Step - Lure the Clan Castle! If the clan castle is centralized, lure it out in the middle of the raid. Just use half of your troops to get the main job done. If it's not centralized, just use a barb or 2 to pop the troops out. Bring them to a corner, take em out with a couple of barbs and archers.

2nd Step - Attack from the side closest to the dark elixir storage. Use all your barbarians to clear the outer buildings from that side. Deploy them in a line. You should have a couple of barbs left, just use them as support to clear the outer ring of buildings! The barbs are also used to trip any traps. If the barbarians didn't take out all the buildings, use a couple of archers to take out the buildings.

The red line shows the outer buildings. The blue shows where you should deploy your barbs.

3rd Step - Deploy your giants in the same spot, those 12 giants will take out a whole lot of defenses if used right. After you've deployed your giants, deploy two wall breakers! DON'T SPAM THE WALL BREAKERS. The wall breakers will get taken out by one mortar shell or a wizard shot. Deploy the wall breakers in groups of 2, this or groups of 1 (but quickly, but giants will lose more health this way). Keep deploying wall breakers until you've broken into the compartment with the dark elixir strategy!

4th Step - Once you've broken through the first layer, start deploying your archers in groups of 5-10. Deploy the groups every 3-5 seconds. This makes sure that the mortars can 1 shot your archers, don't spam them all at once, 1 shot from the mortars! KABOOM! All your archers are dead. If you have a barbarian king, I would deploy him in the middle of when you're deploying archers. The archers should get to the dark elixir storage if you use the strategy right. The archers will snipe the dark elixir with ease.

5th Step - Enjoy your dark elixir and use it to buy your barb king or use it to upgrade your barb king or your minions or your hogs or your valkyries. LOL!

In 4 hours of boosting I farmed 8,000 Dark Elixir! Use the 1 gem boost and horrible collector loot to your advantage for farming Dark Elixir!

Attack Logs:

Conclusion:

In conclusion, dark elixir farming is hard at TH 7 & TH 8! It's not easy, your mainly going up against some TH 9's and TH 10's. But, we have something called rushers, they balance the game. That's where we make most of our DE income from. You could also use BAM or Balloonian to farm Dark Elixir. But, I don't think it's efficient to use dark elixir to farm dark elixir! You could also trophy push with this army, but it's weird if you TH snipe, you'll use 4 archers, since you have giants queued up first, it's going to train, giants. Anyway's back to the DE farming, hope you make some dark elixir! Hope you liked this post, leave a comment if you need a help or tip. Visit us for more posts and guides. How to make 6 million in 2 hours guide

Hey again, sorry that i didn't write or post anything for a while, i've been busy with school, exams and personal life. Back on topic today i'm going to show you how to fill your storage's full with gold and elixir in just 2 hours. The troops we are going to use in this strategy are Barbarians and Archers, this is simple barching for loot with some tips and tricks.

1. Make sure your Army Camps are always full with troops.

If you want to gather great amounts of gold and elixir you must make sure that you won't waste time for waiting troops to get trained and meanwhile you can get raided. Before going to raid make sure to fill you Barracks with 100 Barbarians and 100 Archers. If you want you can even boost 2 or 4 Barracks, by boosting them you will get troops 4 times faster so your Army Camps will be fill always.

2. Find the best time for raiding.

If you play Clash of Clans for atleast 2 or 3 month you might have noticed that in certain times of the day/night you find more bases with collectors and mines fill to the top. So make sure you know when is the perfect time for you to attack. Personolly i live in GMT +1 Time Zone and the best time for me is between 22:00 and 2:00 after midnight, this is the time when i find bases with +200k loot in few next clicks

3. Aim for elixir collectors and gold mines.

On thing is important, always aim for collectors and mines becuase from them you can steal atleast 60% of the loot and they are more easier to reach. In the image above you can see 3 gold mines filled 25%, 50% and 90%, you can steal up to 80,000 from a single collector/mine. Just place a line of barbarians and behind them a line of archers and you will get the loot in no time.

Here are some screenshots when i boosted my barracks few days ago, i was able to find every 5 minutes a base with up to 200k gold and 200k elixir.

As you can see i used only Barbarians and Archers, sometimes the King too. But the key point is always find the perfect time to start raiding, time when you will have at least 2 hours without anyone bothering or interrupting you. You can see from this last base that his collectors/mines are fill and storage's are empty, the whole loot is in the mines and collectors. How to attack with Dragons - Clan War attacking strategy

Everyone want's to win in clan war's and the key to win it are getting 3 stars in attacks. In low level players and those with Town Hall 6 and below are mostly common attacks with ground troops like giants and wizards, but the attack strategy changes and at Town Hall level 7 & 8 people mostly attack with air troops like dragons. Dragons are really powerful troops and can be risked only form air defenses, making the a bit superior in clan  war. Here is a tutorial on how to attack with dragons in clan wars.

When attacking with dragons there are a few pros and cons about it :

Pros about dragons in clan wars :

  • They don't cost any dark elixir.
  • Walls aren't problem for them.
  • Have good health and damage.
  • Can 3 star most of Town Hall level 7 and 8 bases.
Cons about dragons in clan wars :

  • They are expensive
  • Time to train them it's high.
  • Are highly vulnerable to air defense.
  • Need a bit of practice.
Here are some tips and tricks to use when attacking with dragons in clan wars.

1. Use the scout option on the preparation day before war.

Before the war you have 24 hours to prepare for it, so use the scout option wisely. Search for an oponente that you can get max stars out of him. Below are some examples of which bases you should attack.

Air Defenses in this base layout are really close so if you concentrate
your dragons to go straight in the center then you have a good chance to
take those Air Defenses down.

In this base Air Defenses are spread and for a
triangle formation making it risky for your dragons
because there is a high chance that
they will get exterminated before reaching the
center of the base.

2. Make the right army composition

If you are Town Hall level 7 or 8 then I assume you have 200 army spaces available. If you don't then make sure to upgrade as soon as possible. There are 2 army compositions.

First army composition :
  • 5 Barbarians
  • 15 Archers
  • 9 Dragons
  • 1 Dragon in Clan Castle (if you have level 4 Clan Castle then request 1 Dragon and 5 Archers)
  • 3 Rage Spells
  • Barbarian King
Second army composition :

  • 10 Dragons
  • 3 Rage Spells
  • 1 Dragon in Clan Castle  (if you have level 4 Clan Castle then request 1 Dragon and 5 Archers)
  • Barbarian King

3. Take out defense troops in opponents Clan Castle

Before attacking in clan wars make sure to check if the opponent has any troops on Clan Castle, since they can make quite a big trouble and distraction. If you have the first army composition then simply follow these step in order to terminate those defense troops.

Place one or two barbarians in a place where is covered by
the range of the Clan Castle.

When all the troops are out place a barbarian in
the nearest corner of the base.

Make sure the troops are going to the
selected corner of the base by placing barbarians.

When Clan Castle troops reach the certain corner
place archers and Barbarian King if you want
around them to make a trap and kill them.

4. Start the attack with Dragons

After taking out the Clan Castle troops you can start the actual attack with your Dragons. Don't deploy all of them in one place because they will be very vulnerable and will destroy one building at a time, but instead place them in a line so they aim at the buildings next to each other. This way they will deal more damage and destroy more buildings at a time. Don't forget to deploy your Clan Castle with the Dragon inside.

Deploy Dragons in a line in order to destroy buildings faster
and be less vulnerable against defenses.

5. Use the spells

After deploying Dragons don't freak out and place rage spells instantly, but instead wait for the Dragons to destroy at least a line of buildings and when they reach out near the Air Defenses the place a Rage Spells in front of them so when they reach the spell ring they'll destroy Air Defenses faster.

Deploy Rage Spells near Air Defenses so the
Dragon takes them out easier.

Final conclusion about attacking with Dragons

So i hope you understood how to make your best attack with Dragons, now all you need to do is practice and in a while you can 3 start a Town Hall 7, 8 or even 9 easily. The key to success is to upgrade your Dragons and Rage Spells as soon as possible.

This is all for this tutorial, thank you for reading and please leave a comment below if you have any question or suggestion. Come back again for more guides and base designs.
